Photography is deeply personal. The stories I tell are unique to you and your wedding. I take great care in capturing moments and providing a photographic experience that, combined with emotional and detailed imagery, takes you back to your wedding day in both your mind and heart for decades to come.
I approach wedding photography with physical, emotional, and mental dedication. I want the photographs to evoke genuine emotion—not only for me but, ultimately, for you. My priorities are emotive, storytelling images that are beautifully lit, creatively composed, and tailored to you and your wedding.
I want your images to feel warm and beautiful, romantic and natural, filled with emotion, and, most of all, timelessness.

How my approach is different from other photographers
A wedding is not a staged portrait session; it’s a living event with a story of its own.
Ninety percent of your wedding, I remain unobtrusive—quick yet quiet. I aim for a low profile, hoping to be mostly unnoticed and forgotten, allowing moments to unfold naturally.
I invest myself emotionally in you, your loved ones, and the story unfolding before me. By the end of your wedding day, I’m often more emotionally exhausted from the attention, anticipation, and effort I put into finding and waiting for the perfect moments than from carrying my heavy gear all day.
For the remaining ten percent of the day, I take a more involved approach to ensure you and your loved ones look your absolute best for portraits. Attention to detail is incredibly important in these moments.
I don't know what magic powers Brian has, but his ability to bend light to his will is almost beyond belief. He creates an environment where its easy to just relax and enjoy your partner. My husband was a little worried about taking photos, but Brian is a great guys-guy and put him at ease. The pictures definitely reflect it. During the wedding, Brian was great at efficiently getting through the family photos. He was also great at pulling us aside a few minutes here and there to capture some quiet moments without disrupting the flow of the night in any way. How do I INTERACT WITH PEOPLE AT A
WEDDING?
With you and your guests I am a combination of quiet when not needed, confident when required, funny when appropriate, polite and smiling when spoken to, and maintain a pleasant, yet professional manner no matter the situation throughout your day.
WHAT IS MY "FOOTPRINT" ON YOUR WEDDING?
My goal is to maintain a very small footprint on your wedding day. I use an adequate, yet minimal, about of gear to get the job done. Two cameras on my person, flashes when the light is too low, and a couple of light stands in your reception room for modifying the light to enhance and maintain the ambience of the mood you paid for.
I have one discrete camera bag that I hide from your guests. No soft boxes, large light modifiers, etc.
95% of your wedding I am a quiet, story-telling photojournalist, only speaking politely with a smile when spoken to.
The remaining 10% of the day I am there to confidenlty, yet politely direct you and your family for carefully posed and crafted portraits.
Ultimately my goal is to capture your day, and largely be un-notice and fogotten.
How do I handle pressure?
I know this may sound strange to many, but in order to be a wedding photographer, you actually have to enjoy stress and pressure. I thrive on the tension created by a timeline that is constantly moving and the responsibility of capturing once-in-a-lifetime moments that will never come back. After years of wedding experience and countless hours behind a camera, operating my gear and making technical decisions has become second nature, allowing me to focus my energy on anticipating what is happening rather than thinking about how to make the camera work. That experience allows me to remain calm, think quickly, and confidently navigate the pressure of a fast-moving wedding day while never losing sight of the moments that matter most.
How do I work alongside your wedding planner and other vendors?
One example of how I create a seamless experience is having an assistant whose primary responsibility is communication with your planner throughout the day. They continuously keep the planner informed of where I am, where the couple is, what we have completed, and where we are in relation to the photography timeline. This allows me to remain completely focused on photographing and interacting with you while the planner and I stay connected behind the scenes, making it easier to adjust quickly when the day inevitably shifts. It’s a small but important part of creating the kind of coordinated, calm, and effortless experience that couples should expect from a seasoned professional.
What is my process for Anticipating Moments?
A wedding day works best when the professionals behind it work together as a team. I work closely with your wedding planner and the other vendors throughout the day, communicating, anticipating challenges, and quietly doing whatever is needed to keep things moving according to plan. When something inevitably goes off course, we draw on our combined experience to solve it quickly and, whenever possible, keep those challenges behind the scenes so you can remain fully present and enjoy your day. Having worked alongside many of the same talented planners and vendors over the years creates an added advantage—we understand how each other works, communicate naturally, and operate as a cohesive team with one shared goal: making your wedding experience feel effortless.
